Forest Balemian-Spencer

Forest first became interested in geology scrambling mountainsides in New York’s Hudson Valley, where she is originally from. She studied at Scripps College in Claremont, California, where she received a BA in Geology with a minor in Chinese. Forest is interested in using experiments to understand planetary formation and learning how to effectively communicate her findings to make geosciences more accessible, especially for individuals with historically underrepresented identities.
