Steve serves as the chief financial steward by providing financial analysis, advice, recommendations, and predicting any financial challenges to the provost on financial matters related to the Schools and Central Fiscal Units that report to the provost. He is responsible for the development and review of annual budgets, year-end forecasts, variance analysis and explanations for the Office of the Provost and related CFU units. As associate provost for finance, Steve serves as a liaison to the Office of the Associate Vice Chancellor for Planning & Budgets for units under the provost and is the key financial manager/advisor for units that report to the Office of the Provost.
