St. Louis native Wesley Agee is a doctoral student within the Molecular and Cellular Biology (MCB) program. Throughout his undergraduate career he has participated in research opportunities spanning from his initial introduction in plant science to working in Drosophila model systems. His interest is in all facets of biomedical research which led him to apply to the MCB program, a particular research area that walks the fine line of clinical and basic research. He hopes to leave WashU with the skills necessary to thrive independently as a future PI and mentor to the next generation of budding scientists.
