Career outcomes for WashU doctoral students (PhD, DSc, DLA, DBA, DSu) are based on work by Academic Analytics and their Alumni Insight Tool. For students who obtained their doctoral degree by summer 2023, the overall knowledge rate is 70%. WashU doctoral recipients were engaged in a variety of areas, as shown in the table below:
Knowledge Rate” refers to the percentage of degree recipients who were found by Academic Analytics through searching publicly available information. For example, out of 106 PhD recipients from Arts & Sciences, 73 were found with positions in academia, for-profit organizations, government, or nonprofit organizations (for a knowledge rate of 69%).
