Alexis Rivera

Alexis Rivera is pursuing a PhD in Mechanical Engineering. She graduated summa cum laude from Hendrix College with a B.A. in Physics in 2020. While at Hendrix College, she was a mentor for the Increasing Retention and Inclusion in STEM program, which provided resources and community for students in demographics that are underrepresented in STEM. She went on to receive both a B.S. (awarded magna cum laude) and M.S. in Mechanical Engineering at Washington University in St. Louis in 2023. She is interested in studying vibrations to better understand physical and biological phenomena.
