Assistant Vice Provost for Assessment

Heidi Aronson Kolk holds a dual appointment as Assistant Professor in the Sam Fox School of Design + Visual Arts and Assistant Vice Provost of Academic Assessment. In her administrative role, she provides leadership on the University’s ongoing assessment and accreditation projects, including department and program assessment.  In her faculty role, she teaches in the MFA Program in Illustration (Sam Fox School) and the American Culture Studies program (Art & Sciences).  She is a cultural historian whose research focuses on the politics of cultural heritage and public memory in the United States since 1900, particularly as they intersect with issues of race, class, and the history of American cities.
