Merriah Croston was born and raised in Ohio and most recently lived in Atlanta, Georgia. She is a former Gates Millennium Scholar and graduated from Georgetown University with a BS in Biology and Emory University with a MPH in Epidemiology. Prior to entering the PhD Program in Public Health Sciences, Merriah spent the majority of her career in the government sector, first as an Epidemiologist at the Georgia Department of Public Health and most recently as a Health Scientist at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Merriah has theoretical interests in health-related judgment, decision-making, and behavior among low-income populations and applied interests in developing and evaluating multi-level health behavior change strategies. In her free time, you can find Merriah at a skating rink, planning her next trip, or exploring new restaurants with family and friends.
