The mission of the executive vice provost is to intensely collaborate with all vice provosts and senior administrative leaders to align activities, resources, and efforts towards the guiding vision of the provost and the chancellor for academic distinction. Leveraging the strategic direction provided by the Here and Next People Pillar, she leads efforts to create a cohesive, collaborative academic leadership group capable of strengthening the educational and research capacities of WashU.

Mary ensures the continued success of the Research and Community strategic initiatives by collaborating with initiative faculty leaders, supervising and supporting core implementation leadership, and leading research excellence across stakeholder groups.
